FAQ

Orders

Where is your store and what are your hours?
Currently we are an online only business and do not have a physical walk-in location, so we don’t have store hours!

Where can I buy your cookies?
There are three ways to purchase our cookies online.

Pinckney Cookie Cafe: Online ordering here at lovethesecookies.com is the primary way we sell our cookies. We ship nationwide and to Canada. We also provide curbside pickup and local delivery.

Seattle Area Farmers Markets: We participate in the Queen Anne, University District, Ballard and West Seattle farmers markets. The Queen Anne market is on Thursdays from 3:00 to 7:30 pm from June to October, plus 3 Fall Harvest markets. The University District market is on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Ballard market is on Sundays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and the West Seattle market is from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, all year round.

Do you offer delivery (UberEats/Grubhub/Caviar/Messenger Services/etc.)?
We are an online only business and it is not practical for us to offer on demand delivery.

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter, to be the first to hear about new offerings at Pinckney Cookie Café!

Can I pickup if I’m local?
Yes! We offer next day curbside pickup Monday to Friday between 12:30 and 5:30 PM.

Can I buy a gift card?
Yes. We offer e-gift cards for our website! E-gift cards are codes which are automatically generated and sent to you via email. If you did send it to yourself, you can forward the email to the intended recipient. If you are sending multiple virtual gift cards, please purchase them separately to ensure that the codes are sent to the proper email addresses.

Why have your prices gone up?
At the start of May 2023, we raised our prices because we want to continue baking the quality of cookies you’ve come to expect from Pinckney Cookie Cafe. Sharply rising costs across the economy, from ingredients to labor to rent to supplies, necessitates the need for higher prices. We’re proud to use extremely high-quality ingredients, including Callebaut dark Belgian chocolate (the number one ingredient in all of our cookies containing chocolate), Nielsen Massey pure vanilla extract, Meadowbrook Butter, and Woodinville Whiskey Co bourbon. These prices also ensure that our employees can continue to be paid a competitive wage and that we can grow as a company, meaning more cookie giveaways, more new flavor launches, and more cookies delivered to you.

Shipping

Where and how do you ship?
We ship via USPS Priority Mail, to ensure your cookies arrive as fresh as possible. We ship our cookies Monday through Friday, typically within 1 -2 business days of ordering. Washington State orders generally arrive the day after we ship them, while East Coast orders take up to 3 days.

Please note that we avoid having your cookies sit in a hot post office over the weekend. This means that based on the weather and the destination we may ship an order on Monday that would otherwise go out on Thursday or Friday.

Also note, during the winter Holidays, the Post Office is very busy, and frequently faces delays. Please take this into consideration when planning for holiday orders.

Do you ship to APOs, International/Canada?
Yes, however since our cookies are soft, chewy and preservative free, we don't recommend shipping them to destinations that will require more than 3 or 4 days in transit. Our website accepts APOs and Canada addresses, but we suggest determining how long it will take the cookies to clear customs and arrive at their destination before ordering.

When will my order arrive?
We generally ship in 1-2 business days, and transit time is an additional 1-3 days depending on the destination and the chosen shipping option. As a very small business, however, we can get overwhelmed during peak times such as the winter holidays. At these times we place a red banner at the top of our homepage to notify you that we have a backlog. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work as hard as possible to get orders out speedily.

If you have not received an email notifying you of fulfillment by the third business day after your order is placed, please let us know at inquiry@pinckneycookiecafe.com.

What are the shipping preferences before checkout?

We have 3 different shipping options: Standard Shipping, Future Ship Date, and Curbside Pickup.
Standard Shipping - We process orders in the order received and Standard Shipping orders are shipped as soon as possible, Mon - Thur.
Future Ship Date - This makes it easy for you to have fresh cookies arrive just in time for a  birthday or other special occasion, or after an out of town recipient returns home. You can select the date you want the cookies to arrive at least 2 weeks in the future. When choosing your date, please keep in mind that USPS arrival dates (other than Priority Express) are not guaranteed.
Curbside Pickup - We offer curbside pickup Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. Your order will be available the second weekday after you place it (e.g. order Monday and your order will be ready Wednesday, order Tuesday and your order will be ready on Friday, etc.).

I entered the wrong address, what do I do?
We do ask that you double and triple-check the Shipping Address given at checkout, as unfortunately once a package has been shipped, USPS does not allow for changes to the address. We are also unable to reship the same batch of cookies, as they often take weeks to be returned to sender. Any cookies with the wrong address will need to be completely replaced.

If your order has not yet shipped, please feel free to email us at inquiry@pinckneycookiecafe.com, and we will cheerfully take care of that for you!

I got an email saying my order was delivered, but I can’t find my package.
Unfortunately, there are a variety of possibilities. First, please double check the address given at checkout in your emailed receipt for any typos. If the address is correct, please check with your neighbors. The Post Office may have misdelivered the package, or it may have been stolen. You can contact your local Post Office to see if they are able to find it.

Cookies and Ingredients

How long do your cookies last?
Our cookies are all-natural and preservative-free! Please refrigerate your cookies and freeze any cookies that won’t be eaten within a day of arrival. Wrapped cookies can be stored for at least 4-6 months in the freezer.

How long should I wait to eat my cookies after taking them out of the refrigerator or freezer?
Our cookies are delicious right out of the refrigerator. Frozen cookies left out on a plate will thaw in 15 minutes; pop them in the microwave at low power if you prefer them warm.

Can I ship a gift box for holidays/birthdays?
Yes! We have gift wrapping options, as well as Personalized Cookie Gifts that have your custom message printed on the packaging. You can even select a specific arrival date during checkout to make sure it shows up for the special day!

Are your vegan and gluten-free Miracle Cookies produced in a separate facility?
Currently they are not, though we are looking forward to the day that we have a separate facility. We do have a separate gluten-free area, as well as separate tools and utensils. We clean the mixer before making gluten-free cookies, and periodically test our products for gluten contamination.
To ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy our cookies, we are very careful to prevent cross contamination. However, we recommend that those with severe Celiac disease do not consume our cookies. Until we have a separate gluten-free facility, we can't guarantee zero cross contamination.

I'm allergic to nuts, can I eat your cookies?
We use walnuts and/or unsweetened shredded coconut in several of our cookie flavors. All of our Miracle cookies contain almond flour as a part of our custom Miracle gluten-free flour mix, as well as coconut oil as part of our butter replacement.
Our area is peanut-free, but we lease space in a commercial kitchen, where peanuts are used in other parts of the facility. We prepare our cookies in our own dedicated area, but we use common shared spaces, such as the ovens, the walk-in refrigerator and the dish pit.
See the individual cookie descriptions for their key ingredients.

What are the nutrition facts/calories for the cookies?
Since we don't sell packaged cookies in retail locations, we do not have official nutrition facts available. Here is a complete list of our cookies and their ingredients.

Do you offer sugar free/diabetic friendly options?
No. We do not have any sugar-free or sugar-alternative cookies. We use pure dark brown cane sugar and pure cane sugar in our cookies.
